Founded in 2001, No Limits Media (NLM) is a multimedia development and production company dedicated to informing and entertaining the estimated 20% of the U.S. population that directly lives with a disability. (A “disability” is defined a condition which prevents a person from accomplishing 2 or more normal physical activities (brushing teeth, getting out of bed, working, navigation, and so on). As a non-profit (501c3) corporation, NLM offers informational products and services that reflect the diversity and value of this diverse community and its “halo” communities of friends, families, and caregivers.
The mission of No Limits Media, Inc. has been redefined to create, support and disseminate media programs and information products that promote the full participation of people with disabilities in the world community.
No Limits Media assumes that a population that has been considered a net drain to the society is actually an asset when seen within the context of their growth, views, and achievements. Through its flagship product, BeyondLimits.tv, NLM combines the interactivity and flexibility of Web-based publishing with the directness and excitement of television broadcast. NLM offers the disability community a sophisticated and valuable source of information, new concepts in disability management and lifestyle, dynamic resources, useful tools and quality entertainment. BLTV combines video stories, print and database resources which capture the power of the Internet, podcasting, streaming video and other new technologies to activate, inform and entertain a significant but largely unrecognized and widely underserved demographic.
Based in Boston, Massachusetts, No Limits Media is already developing a reputation as a trusted voice for the disability community -- a group that wishes to participate fully in the life of society.
Beyond Limits TV is a break-through, No Limits Media product demonstrating that disability is just life. It's not inspirational, pitiable or venerable.
